लोकायन संस्थान


Lokayan Sansthan is a non-profit charitable society dedicated to heritage conservation and the revival and promotion of handicrafts, folk arts, theatre and practices of cultural importance. Lokayan, which translates as ‘dialogue among people’ was registered in 1996 in Bikaner and has brought together the energies of several theatre artists, historians and visual artists who are deeply committed to the documentation of the culture of this Northwestern district of Rajasthan.


Between 2011 and 2013, with the support of the Kabir Project in Bangalore, Lokayan worked with singers of the mystic Baani Tradition of this region, did recording with 8 artists, produced their CDs, and published booklets of their Bhajans. It also organized Bikaner Vaani Sammellan in 2013. Since 2012, Lokayan has organized three editions of Bikaner Theatre Festival, three editions of Rajasthan Kabir Yatra, covering more than 50 places and inviting 80 musicians from across the country.





लोकायन संस्थान एक गैर-लाभकारी धर्मार्थ संस्था है जो विरासत संरक्षण और हस्तशिल्प, लोक कलाओं, रंगमंच और सांस्कृतिक महत्व की प्रथाओं के पुनरुद्धार और संवर्धन के लिए समर्पित है। लोकायन, जिसका अर्थ है 'लोगों के बीच संवाद', 1996 में बीकानेर में पंजीकृत हुआ था और इसने कई रंगकर्मियों, इतिहासकारों और दृश्य कलाकारों को एक साथ लाया है जो राजस्थान के इस उत्तर-पश्चिमी जिले की संस्कृति के दस्तावेजीकरण के लिए गहराई से प्रतिबद्ध हैं।


2011 और 2013 के बीच, बैंगलोर में कबीर परियोजना के सहयोग से, लोकायन ने इस क्षेत्र की रहस्यवादी बाणी परंपरा के गायकों के साथ काम किया, 8 कलाकारों के साथ रिकॉर्डिंग की, उनकी सीडी तैयार की और उनके भजनों की पुस्तिकाएँ प्रकाशित कीं। इसने 2013 में बीकानेर वाणी सम्मेलन का भी आयोजन किया। 2012 से, लोकायन ने बीकानेर रंगमंच महोत्सव के तीन संस्करण और राजस्थान कबीर यात्रा के तीन संस्करण आयोजित किए हैं, जिनमें 50 से अधिक स्थानों को कवर किया गया है और देश भर से 80 संगीतकारों को आमंत्रित किया गया है।
